Stan Musick and I recently raced Stans new ( Hep Porters SX300 ) SX300 that we picked up from Doug Poli about 3 weeks ago in the Texoma 100 race held on April 24th. We had an outstanding good time meeting the other racers and the wonderful people who organized and ran the races. This racing league is 65% social and 35% race oriented in conception. Stan and I enjoyed lunch on Friday when we arrived and a small gathering of pilots and friends at the local air field restaurant "AREA 51" that afternoon. We were provided with a car for the evening to go back to town to the hotel. Everyone was very helpful at the race on Saturday and we had a very close race in our division between Duncan Sutherland + 15 seconds 1st place, Ernie Sutter ( Lancair Legacy) + 1 second 2nd place, and Stan Musick 3rd place. WOW was it close for a 140nm. 5 leg course. Check out the stats on their web site www.sportairrace.org under Texoma 100 and pictures under Race Memories.

They have several races coming up in August thru October near our areas of operation ( South Eastern US ). They have the list of races on their home page under Race Calendar. We should attend some of these for the social benefits if not for the total race experience. This always sharpens your racing skills if you are interested in the Reno Air Races held out west every year. Our web site should post the race schedule on our coming events page and maybe have a link to their site.
All in all we had a wonderful time !!!
We plan to go out to the Plainview, Tx race on June 5th. If anyone is interested in going with Stan and I drop me a line.

Sincerely
